Abstract
Twining direct injection system allows dual fuel engines to run on syngas-biogas blend with large variation in compositions. Injection pressure slightly affects the combustion characteristics of the engine. Compared with engine power in diesel fueling mode, the power of dual fuel engine Vikyno RV165 increases by 8,36% in biogas direct injection mode, but decreases by 25% in syngas direct injection mode. Engine power as well as NOx concentration increase with equivalence ratio. As dual engine fueled with 50% syngas-50% biogas blend with equivalence ratio f=0.65; f=0.72 and f=0.8 at a speed of 2400rpm, the power of the engine are respectively 8.82kW, 9.33kW and 10.18kW, NOx concentration are respectively 1398ppm, 1719ppm and 1975ppm.
