Nghiên cứu phân tích mối quan hệ giữa phát triển du lịch và thu nhập bình quân đầu người tại năm tỉnh thuộc vùng Nam Trung Bộ Việt Nam giai đoạn 2010–2024. Du lịch được phân tách thành kênh khối lượng, đo bằng số lượt khách trên 1.000 dân, và kênh giá trị, đo bằng doanh thu du lịch thực bình quân trên mỗi lượt khách. Nghiên cứu ước lượng mô hình Panel ARDL/ECM với PMG làm tham chiếu, còn MG và DCCE được dùng để kiểm tra độ vững. Kết quả PMG cho thấy hai kênh du lịch và chất lượng thể chế có quan hệ dương trong dài hạn với thu nhập bình quân đầu người. Tuy nhiên, MG cho thấy kênh khối lượng ổn định hơn, còn DCCE làm suy yếu hệ số của các biến du lịch, đặc biệt là kênh giá trị, sau khi kiểm soát các nhân tố chung. Vì vậy, mối quan hệ du lịch–thu nhập mang tính điều kiện thay vì phổ quát. Do mẫu nhỏ, các phát hiện cần được diễn giải thận trọng như bằng chứng cho vùng nghiên cứu.
