Abstract
The ex vitro acclimatization process has a major role. This process helps in vitro plantlets to adapt to the environmental changes. This work aims to assess the growth, anatomy and transpiration characteristics of Dendrobium anosmumLindl. plantlets during ex vitro acclimatization process. The results show the increase in leaf and root numbers as well as in the size of leaf, stem and root at late point of ex vitro acclimatization process compared to initial point (D0). Anatomical analysis show that root of ex vitro plantlets develops the velamen, exodermis, endodermis layers and vascular cylinder more than root of in vitro plantlets. The in vitro leaf transpiration is more intensive than the ex vitro leaf. However, ex vitro plantlets have higher leaf water retention than in vitro ones.
