A STUDY ON THE ACTUAL SITUATIONS AND SOLUTIONS TO DEVELOPING NON-CASH PAYMENT METHOD IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Along with the development of the economy in general and the field of information technology in particular, the considerable trend of regional and international economic integration, non-cash payment method has been developing dramatically and becoming dominant in compared to the traditional payment methods in Vietnam. Vietnam is one of the nations where the banking system has recently been developed; therefore, it is necessary to study in order to propose sustainable developing orientations in the non-cash payment system. This paper examines the current status, presents analyses the useful impacts of non-cash payment method on inhabitants, commercial banks, and payment-service offering organizations, and on the development of economy, points out the obstacles to the non-cash payment method and suggests some solutions to expanding this non-cash payment method in Vietnam.
