Abstract
This paper presents a thermodynamic model to calculate gas temperature of spark ignition engine by data of gas pressure following crankshaft rotation angle. The model is built from the first law of thermodynamics and equation of state for working gas of cylinder volume if specific gas constant does not change, thereby determining the temperature differential with pressure differential and volume differential of working gas.The calculated results of the model allows determining the temperature and heat capacity of the working gas following crankshaft rotation angle of engine thermodynamic cycle and can be used as a basis for assessing and comparing combustion of spark ignition engine using several fuels.
