Abstract
This paper presents a short circuit calculation for the electric power system with a low voltage ride through inverter power (LVRT). This method considers inverter power as a current source and there is no direct current (DC) component in the case of inverter interface, and as a current source with a sudden steady current change when subject to grid fault. The next step is to apply the theory to calculate a real inverter control in use, particularly the change after the short circuit of low voltage ride through and lastly analyses the results of the method. This method has solved the problem that other methods cannot at short circuit point at near or far distances from power supply. The paper also describes the nature of the real inverter\'s source and its controls occurring before and after short circuit.
