Abstract
In practical operation of power systems, operating parameters and grid configuration change randomly; hence, in order to exactly calculate and analyse chracteristics of operation status of power systems, uncertainty of input information must be taken into account. To build simulation models to study operation modes of power systems considering uncertainty, random number generators are needed. This paper presents the result of designing and manufacturing a random number generator to simulate random features of factors in a power system. The random number generator is used together with laboratory equipment of LabVolt to build a model for modelling and monitoring stability of IEEE 9BUS system considering uncertainties. Obtained results can be applied to build random number generators for modelling elements in power systems for experimental study.
