Developing model and measuring the combination of renewable energy provided for traffic light systems in coastal areas in Vietnam

Abstract

This paper evaluates the results of measurement and simulates the combined process of renewable energy sources to provide energy for traffic signal systems in coastal areas of Vietnam. Analytical results show that the combination of three sources of energy has achieved much with certain conditions, which allows the use of clean energies to replace the traditional energy from the grid and generators using combustion engines. In addition, the article also shows that the efficiency of using available solar power to provide for the traffic light system is significant, with the experimental model in the research arranged and combined optimally, which brings economic efficiency in the field of energy,and reduces energy consumption from the traditional grid, contributing to the development of intelligent control technology in transportation in coastal areas in Vietnam.
