Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long (ĐBSCL), nơi được đánh giá có chỉ số năng lực cạnh tranh cấp tỉnh (PCI) tăng nhưng chưa ổn định, số lượng doanh nghiệp nhỏ và vừa (DNNVV) chiếm đại đa số, trong giai đoạn 2019 – 2022 đã chịu ảnh hưởng nặng nề của dịch bệnh Covid-19 đến kết quả kinh doanh (KQKD) của các doanh nghiệp. Các DNNVV nơi đây hoạt động trong nhiều lĩnh vực, khá năng động nhưng lại manh mún, nhỏ lẻ và rất nhạy cảm, vì vậy thường dễ tổn thương trước những biến động lớn, dẫn đến ngưng hoạt động hoặc phá sản. Qua 310 bản hỏi khảo sát từ đại diện các doanh nghiệp vừa, nhỏ và siêu nhỏ tại ĐBSCL, dựa trên phần mềm SPSS 22.0, kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, định hướng thị trường, đổi mới tác động trực tiếp và tích cực đến KQKD của các DNNVV tại ĐBSCL hiện nay, giúp doanh nghiệp nâng cao năng lực ĐHTT, đổi mới sáng tạo và đáp ứng sự thay đổi của môi trường kinh doanh ngày càng khắc nghiệt.
