BUILDING A DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR FOREST RESOURCES MANAGEMENT USING THE ELECTRE III METHOD AND EXPERIMENT IN ANALYSES OF STRATEGIC SOLUTIONS IN RESPONSE TO CLIMATE CHANGE

Abstract

This paper presents the building of a decision support system in forest resources management using ELECTRE III methods and identifying solutions to the response of climate change, thus ensuring the sustainable development. The contents of this paper are analyzed to solve the research objectives: (i) Research method ELECTRE III;(ii) The application of the ELECTRE III methods and building decision support systems in forest resources management in Cu Lao Cham;(iii) Identifying solutions to responses of climate change (iv) Evaluating the solutions according to the criteria defined, with the participation of the community. This helps decision makers choose the most appropriate solutions. The main results of the paper are explained and illustrated by the problem of managing forest resources in response to climate change in the Cham Islands and the successful building of the programs.
