Building the warning system for traffic congestions and accidents in vietnamese urban areas

Abstract

This paper presents an application of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) in the management and control of transport operations in urban areas. Specifically, the paper has built the driver information system with the function of warning transport users of traffic incidents, traffic congestion and traffic risks when drivers exceed speed limit or are moving through dangerous areas. This system has used the total of different programming languages such as Java, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, XML,... and also has the ability to integrate with mobile devices such as mobile phones, tablets. Therefore, it is easy to be installed and help users reduce travel time and potential traffic accidents, improve the efficiency and the convenience of journeys and the safety of traffic participants as well.
