Sustainable poverty reduction solutions for ethnic minority households in mountainous Thanhhoa, Vietnam

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the current situation and factors affecting the ability to escape poverty sustainably of ethnic minority households in Thanhhoa, this article proposes appropriate poverty reduction solutions. The study focuses on clarifying the issues: economic, income, cultural, and social characteristics of ethnic minority households in mountainous areas, the legal basis for proposing solutions, and the necessity of sustainable poverty reduction. At the same time, the article analyzes the current situation of poverty reduction, classifying poor households into three groups: households with elderly and sick people, households with workers lacking skills, and households lacking labor motivation. From there, the study proposes solutions and support policies to improve the ability to escape poverty, combined with people's efforts to achieve sustainable results.
