Abstract
Human resources play a key role in developing and increasing the competitiveness of enterprises.Construction companies are facing challenges of how to use human resources effectively. Undoubtedly, a study which focuseson personality traits of construction engineers could provide a better understanding of personal characteristics of construction engineers and, therefore,help construction companies to recruit and use human resources better. This paper focuses on identifying personality traits of construction engineers in Vietnam. A survey is conducted among design consultants, supervisors, site engineers, and project managers with a psychological measurement tool namelyKTS-II (Keirsey Temperament Sorter-II).Analysis is conducted based on 120 valid collected survey questionnaires. The results of analysis show that the dominant personality characteristics of on-site construction team is ST (sense - thinking).
