MEASURES for training tourism labor force in Phu Quoc in 2016-2020

Abstract

- Tourism labor force is an important factor with a direct impact on the business performance of a tourism enterprise as well as on the sustainable development of tourism industry. Indeed, at present, tourism workforce of Phu Quoc is unskilled and unprofessional because most of the tourism workers have not had any training. This makes the quality of service low, the satisfaction of tourists not high. A survey was carried out through surveying 158 tourism workers, 75 tourism business leaders in Phu Quoc in order to analyze the current state of tourism labor here. The results of the study show that tourism labor needs are great; however, the quality of tourism labor of Phu Quoc currently is not enough to meet the real requirements of the job. The study has suggested measures to improve the quality of tourism employment training for tourism in Phu Quoc island to develop sustainably
