Từ cuối năm 2019, khủng hoảng toàn cầu do Đại dịch Covid-19 gây ra đã phá vỡ nghiêm trọng cấu trúc ngành du lịch. Trong bối cảnh đó, các doanh nghiệp trong lĩnh vực này nỗ lực để tìm những giải pháp để xây dựng và phát triển khả năng chống chịu nhằm để thích nghi, sống sót trong khủng hoảng và phục hồi sau khi khủng hoảng kết thúc. Đứng ở góc độ quản trị nguồn nhân lực, nghiên cứu này nhằm mục tiêu khám phá những chính sách nguồn nhân lực được áp dụng để tăng cường khả năng chống chịu của tổ chức trong giai đoạn giãn cách xã hội và khủng hoảng. Cách tiếp cận định tính bằng 15 phỏng vấn bán cấu trúc với các nhà quản lí trong lĩnh vực du lịch đã được tiến hành ở Việt Nam. Kết quả nghiên cứu đã chỉ ra những đóng góp về mặt học thuật khi cung cấp nền tảng hiểu biết về các chính sách nguồn nhân lực tăng cường năng lực chống chịu của tổ chức từ đó đề xuất những chỉ dẫn quản trị cho các doanh nghiệp trong lĩnh vực du lịch.
