Abstract

Switched reluctance motor is a new electric motor that has been widely applied in recent years. With many advantages such as large starting torque, simple structure, low production cost, low heat loss, ..., the switched reluctance motor has become an object of interest, especially in the electric vehicle. With the development trend of the electric car, the switched reluctance motor drive system can become a popular powertrain in the future. Therefore, this paper presents an overview of the switched reluctance motor, the current control trends of the switched reluctance motor drive system. At the same time, the authors propose the controlling solutions to improve the quality of the switched reluctance motor drive system.
