Analysis of loading capacity of prestressed reinforced concrete slab bridge on a numerical model calified from strain measurement data due to testing vehicle moving on the bridge

Abstract

The paper introduces a method and the results of analyzing the loading capacity of a prestressed reinforced concrete slab bridge structure using numerical modeling, considering the adjustment of the analysis model based on experimental strain-stress measurement results. The bridge structure is computer-modeled using the finite element method; strain-stress measurements are conducted on the model of Nguyen Tri Phuong bridge (Danang city) under the influence of moving test loads on the bridge. The experimental results serve as a basis for adjusting the parameters of the numerical analysis model to ensure the structure behaves in accordance with the experimental measurements. The research results show that the bridge has a higher load-bearing capacity compared to conventional analysis and provides significant economic efficiency in load testing of bridge structures.
