Research on Citrus nobilis peel essetial oil and application in making soap

Abstract
The essential oil of Citrus nobilis peel is a volatile liquid with a pale yellow color, characteristic natural aroma, and spicy taste. The presence of 05 compounds (99.77%) was determined by GC-MS method, of which D-limonene accounts for 96.60%. Simultaneously, the essential oil showed activity against 02 negative gram bacteria Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa with IC50 136.96, 240.44 μg/μL respectively, and 01 yeast mushroom Candida albicans with IC50 82.34 μg/μL. The essential oil of Citrus nobilis peel was used for making soap from coconut oil, olive oil, and biochar from Coffea liberica var. dewevrei husk. The resulting soap meets the physicochemical standards outlined in TCVN 2224:1991, offering effective cleansing and moisturizing properties while ensuring user safety.
