Results in the consistent application and creative development of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought in the period of renewal and the issues raised

Abstract

The consistent application and creative development of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought in the renovation period have achieved great results in the following fundamental aspects: building the Party and the political system; steadfastly pursuing the goal and the path to socialism; building a socialist-oriented market economy; building an advanced culture imbued with national identity. The above results are a great driving force for the renovation process to go into depth, achieving increasingly great economic, political, cultural, and social results. However, there are still some shortcomings, and problems arising in implementing the principle of inheritance and development; promoting the capacity of the ruling and leading Party; solving tasks associated with the requirements of national renovation, and improving the theoretical thinking of the Party in the process of steadfast application and creative development of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought in Vietnam in the coming time.
