The University of Danang - Journal of Science and Technology (UD-JST) is the official scientific publication of The University of Danang. It was first licensed for publication by the Ministry of Culture and Information on 25 November 2002 under License No. 510/GP-BVHTT. In 2007, the National Center for Scientific and Technological Information under the Ministry of Science and Technology assigned the international standard serial number ISSN 1859-1531 under Official Dispatch No. 44/TTKHCN-ISSN—a milestone affirming UD-JST’s standing within the national scientific publishing system. On 25 February 2026, UD-JST was granted License No. 26/GP-BVHTTDL by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to operate as both a print and an electronic journal, opening a new phase of development with broader reach and more convenient access for the domestic and international scientific community.

Over nearly three decades of establishment and development, UD-JST has continuously improved quality and standardized its editorial workflow in line with international practices. The journal follows an open-access model and operates on a modern portal platform, ensuring transparency and convenience throughout the entire process from submission to publication. Each manuscript is processed through a rigorous independent double-blind peer-review procedure, combined with strict plagiarism screening, to ensure the originality and scientific quality of every published work. The Editorial Board brings together highly reputable scientists from Vietnam and abroad, providing a solid foundation for objectivity and expertise in scientific evaluation.

UD-JST publishes original research articles in both English and Vietnamese, covering most scientific fields in accordance with the multidisciplinary orientation of The University of Danang, including: Engineering and Technology; Natural Sciences; Social Sciences; Humanities; and Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The journal is published monthly, with 12 issues per year. All articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), facilitating retrieval, citation, and long-term archiving within the global scientific publishing ecosystem.

In terms of visibility within the scientific community, UD-JST has been indexed in many reputable open scientific databases worldwide such as DOAJ, Crossref, WorldCat, BASE, etc. The journal is recognized by most discipline-based and interdisciplinary Professor Councils with scores ranging from 0.5 to 1.25 points—clear evidence of its widely acknowledged academic standing within Vietnam’s scientific system.

UD-JST welcomes submissions from authors both within and beyond The University of Danang, as well as from the international research community. The journal particularly encourages manuscripts written directly in English. In addition, UD-JST has a professional team ready to support authors with translation from Vietnamese into English upon request, in order to facilitate the broadest possible dissemination of research findings to global readers.
